OUR STORY

We are Ralph and Susan Ridley, founders of “The Ridley Reach”.

As we reflect through time, with more than 57 years of marriage in our golden
80's, we realize that as husband and wife our individual flow of creativity and desire to reach out to people has been phenomenal.

We eventually realized we had no boundaries; our God-given talents, gifts and purpose would take us to another level reaching people of all ages, single, married, male or female while impacting the community touching the Spirit, Soul and Body of mankind.

 

It was through laughter, touching, hugs, smiles, spoken words, counseling, heartfelt testimonies, music, entertainment, arts, you name it, the events and activities were created around the needs of others and our own challenges we encountered on life’s journey. In the 1980’s our events and activities were often referred to as RAAH events. This was due to the RAAH Christian Women’s Prayer Breakfast, and the RAAH HOUSE, facility for women.

 

We were determined to have a godly, happy and fulfilling life of marriage. So, early in our marriage we attended marriage conferences and workshops to enhance our relationship. Little did we know that God was preparing us for Marriage Outreach. We realized the need to bring married couples and share with them the things we had learned, which eventually opened the doors for us to do marriage conferences and retreats for churches and other organizations. Thus, Time Out for Marriage was established in 1998.
 

Through the years and currently perhaps some of you will remember some of our events. Camping Trips, Men’s Prayer Breakfast, The RAAH Women’s Center, RAAH Women’s Advance (3-day getaway), The RAAH Church, Evening with Friends,
A Time to Laugh Comedy, Everybody’s Got a But(t) stage play, The Victory Venue, God’s only Plan-A Women and a Man-Conference, It’s a Love Thang Valentines Gala and others.

 

We appreciate your continued support, and encouragement as Reaching Others has shaped our future. You have put smiles on our faces and joy in our hearts with your many comments, testimonies and various ways by attending our event(s).  There is yet more to come as we are still encouraged to fulfill the assignments
God has for us.
 

We both share advanced professional degrees in social work and counseling which have enabled us to help many to experience restoration, healing and wholeness.
 

We are proud parents of 5 adult children, who are all married.
We currently have 17 grandchildren, 23 great and 1 great great.
